This 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV was acquired by the seller in 1990, and it has since been refinished in black over black. Power comes from a 1,750cc twin-cam inline-four with SPICA mechanical fuel injection, which is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 14″ BWA Sportray wheels, bolstered seats, Veglia instrumentation, and a Blaupunkt cassette radio. Service since 2020 has exceeded $15k and has included refinishing the body, refreshing the brightwork, repairing the door hinges, rebuilding the fuel pump, and replacing the fuel tank, brake booster, rear brake calipers, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, and seals for the doors and trunk.
The car was delivered new in Beige Cava (821). After the seller acquired the car in the mid-1990s, it was stripped and refinished in black. The rocker panels were replaced, rust was repaired, and the floor was patched at that time. In 2020 the car was refinished again and the brightwork was refreshed by Gullwing Motors, Inc. of Mineola, New York.
Silver 14″ BWA Sportray wheels wear BWA/Alfa Romeo center caps and are mounted with 185/70 Semperit Hi-Life tires. The rear brake calipers and brake boosters were replaced in 2021, and the system was bled.
The interior features flying-buttress front seats and a rear bench that were reupholstered in black vinyl with textured inserts front and rear. Wood veneers accent the console, center stack, and dashboard, where a Blaupunkt AM/FM/cassette stereo is mounted. A New York Alfa Romeo Owners Club badge is affixed to the right of the stereo. The door and trunk seals were replaced in 2021 and the door hinges were repaired in 2020.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation that includes an 8k-rpm tachometer with an inset oil-pressure gauge as well as a 140-mph speedometer. Additional gauges to monitor fuel level and water temperature are located above the shifter. The five-digit odometer shows 97k miles.
The 1,750cc twin-cam inline-four features SPICA mechanical fuel injection, and a relay for the fuel pump was added under current ownership. Service in January 2021 included a tune-up that consisted of cleaning the PCV valve, servicing the throttle plate, checking compression, and replacing the spark plugs, air filter, and fuel filter. The fuel pump was rebuilt and the fuel tank was replaced in July 2020.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
Various manuals, some receipts, and a car cover will accompany the car.
